The Scottish Football Association have failed in their attempts to have Rangers keeper Steve Simonsen's betting penalty increased from two games.
The Englishman was hit with a two-game ban - one suspended until the end of the season - by an independent judicial panel after he admitted to betting on 55 matches over a 12-month period.
SFA compliance officer Tony McGlennan indicated that the penalty was not harsh enough and appealed to an independent tribunal to increase the severity of the ban.
A SFA statement read: "The appeal was rejected and the original sanction applied. Mr Simonsen has already served one match of his two-match suspension (the second of which is suspended until the end of season 2014/15)."
