New Chelsea signing Ross Turnbull hopes skipper John Terry will reject interest from Manchester City.
Turnbull, who has joined Blues on a free transfer from Middlesbrough, hailed John Terry as a 'fantastic skipper.'
And he believes the England defender will stay at Stamford Bridge despite interest from Manchester City, who made a £30million bid.
Terry reports back for pre-season training today with the club set to offer him a pay rise of around £15,000 a week to £145,000 to fend off City's interest.
But Turnbull, 24, said: "The lads all say he's a fantastic skipper and everyone knows what he means to this club.
"We all hope he'll stay and I'm sure he will because he is Mr Chelsea."
