Bayern Munich are joining the battle for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.

The Sun says Thomas Tuchel is keen to bring Mount to Bayern Munich after being sacked by the Blues in September.

Tuchel is a big fan of Mount and while he assesses the squad he's inherited, Mount is front of mind. The German is a huge fan of unsettled Mount who is in a contract stand off at Stamford Bridge.

Mount, 24, was one his favourite players during the German's 18 months at Stamford Bridge.

The England midfielder has just over a year left on his current contract and talks have stalled over a new one. Chelsea have made an offer, which has fallen well short of Mount's expectations.

Mount is recovering from a groin injury at present but is hoping to be fit for Saturday's Premier League home clash with Aston Villa.
