Tuchel confirms Chelsea day-off to prepare for vital West Ham clash

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he will give his players a day off after their Premier League game against Brighton.

The Blues battled for a 0-0 draw at home against the relegation candidates, and could easily have lost the game in the second half.

Danny Welbeck hit the post for Brighton in the second period, and they arguably had the better chances to win the game.

As they prepare for their next game against West Ham, the Blues will have a day off on Wednesday.

"Tomorrow is a well-deserved day off and then we will prepare the West Ham game," said Tuchel, per the club website.

"After we have a couple nights to sleep we will see that we are in fourth place and it is in our hands, and it is a tight race.

"We missed now two opportunities in home matches, this worries me a little bit. but we have to keep on going."
