Atlético Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier is desperate to sign for Manchester United.

The experienced Englishman wants to move back to the Manchester area, where his family lives.

Trippier won La Liga with Atletico this past season, while he excelled for England at Euro 2020.

According to Diario Sport, Trippier is asking Atletico to lower their asking price from the current £34 million release clause in his contract.

Reports in England have also reported at various stages of the summer window that Trippier wants to move to United, even if the saga drags on until the end of the window.
