Tribal Trends - Transfers: Juventus offer Pogba swap; Liverpool make Fekir offer; Mourinho back at Chelsea

We're well into the summer market now. Who's excited?!

With the season now over, most of the attention has turned to the summer transfer window.

There are stories and speculation swirling around everywhere. Sometimes it feels overwhelming.

But please don't stress, because here at Tribalfootballwe will summarise the biggest stories throughout football each week and let you know whether you should believe the paper talk or not…

Nabil Fekir - Lyon

Clubs Interested: Liverpool

Liverpool have been interested in signing Lyon's Nabil Fekir ever since Philippe Coutinho left Merseyside to ply his trade in the Spanish top flight.

The Reds identified Fekir as a must-have due to his similarities with Coutinho, but they decided to pull the plug on his transfer due to injury concerns.

In a bid to bolster their squad ahead of next season's title push, Liverpool are reportedly back in the mix for the Frenchman and have tabled a Lucrative contract for his services.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport's Nicolas Schira, "Liverpool have offered Fekir a contract until 2024 at €4m a year."

A deal has not been agreed between Liverpool and Lyon yet, though.

Lyon's asking price for Fekir is reportedly €50m, a fee Liverpool will have no problem paying thanks to their financial standing at the moment – this one looks pretty likely.

Likelihood: Could definitely happen

Mohamed Salah - Liverpool

Clubs interested:Real Madrid, Juventus

The thought of losing Salah to another club will be mind-boggling to Liverpool fan when you consider how influential he has been to the team since his arrival at Anfield.

But from the looks of it, there is a chance, albeit small, that Salah will move elsewhere next season, according to the Daily Mirror, with the Egyptian King feeling the need to review his situation at the club when the 2019/20 season ends.

Real Madrid and Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Salah following his impressive displays for Liverpool in the Champions League.

Salah's individual displays in the 2019/20 season will determine Liverpool's willingness to let him go.

At this point him leaving next summer seems unlikely regardless of the fact that clubs are looking to secure his signature.

Likelihood: You can scrap this one

Paul Pogba - Manchester United

Clubs interested: Juventus

Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport says Juventus are looking to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin just three years after his move to Manchester United.

Pogba's ability has been evident throughout his stay at Old Trafford, which is why Real Madrid view the midfielder as the final piece of their Galactico puzzle.

Because United's high asking price, Juve are looking to significantly lower his price tag by including players as part of a swap deal with the likes of Douglas Costa, Paulo Dybala and Alex Sandro being mentioned as makeweights.

Pogba is a key player for United but it would be crazy to turn down an exchange deal with Costa, Dybala and Sandro possibly involved considering they could put their talents to good use in the Premier League.

Likelihood: If they have any brains, they'll take the Juve deal!

Jose Mourinho

Clubs interested: Chelsea

Following Sarri's move to Juventus, Chelsea are on the look-out for a new manager to lead them to Premier League glory next season.

At the moment, reports suggest that they could look to their most successful manager of all time to take over the club once again.

The Sun claim that Mourinho is among the candidates for the coveted role, alongside Frank Lampard, who's preparedness for a role of that magnitude remains in doubt by a large section of the club's supporters.

Realistically there aren't that many world-class managers Chelsea could replace Sarri with and Mourinho pretty much trumps all of them with his achievements in world football so it shouldn't be much of a surprise if the Special One returns to Stamford Bridge.

Likelihood: Third time lucky?

Yannick Carrasco - Dalian Yifang

Clubs Involved:Arsenal

Arsenal's usual woes have already begun even before the start of the season as they have managed to miss out on former Atletico Madrid winger, Yannick Carrasco due to the club's transfer budget.

According to The Sun, Emery has just £45m to bolster his squad this summer.

And with Carrasco currently priced at £30m, Arsenal would have to use more than half of their transfer budget to sign him, whilst neglecting other areas of the squad in dire need of improvements.

It is difficult to see how Arsenal will build a squad good enough to challenge for the top-four if they can't sign players like Carrasco.

Likelihood: A disappointing no for Gooners
