The trial of Manchester United captain Harry Maguire could be delayed after an outbreak of the coronavirus scare on the Greek island where it is due to be held on Tuesday.
A two day testing programme of all government workers on Syros, including court officials, started on Monday.
It was ordered after two people working in the City Hall, where the court is based, tested positive for the infection, reports the Mirror.
Officials are now trying to trace everyone who has come into close contact with the pair, and rooms in the building in the capital Ermoupoli are being deep-cleaned.
A decision on whether the case will proceed is expected later today.
