Tremmel wants revenge on Man Utd for Bayern Munich

Swansea City goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel has revenge in mind against this weekend's opponents Manchester United.

Tremmel admits being a Bayern Munich fan means a special rivalry when it comes to United.

"I grew up in Munich and played in the youth teams for both Bayern and 1860 - but Bayern were the team I supported," said Tremmel, who is still in talks over a new Swansea contract.

"I'll never forget the 1999 Champions League final. It was horrible. I watched the game on TV at home and it was shocking for everyone in Munich.

"We actually had one hand on the trophy. It was so painful to lose like that at the end, so it would be nice to get a result against them."
