Tranmere Rovers have been shocked by their treatment by a US firm.

The Daily Mail says Tranmere Rovers owner Peter Johnson has hit out at the US firm he hired to find a buyer for his shares after it emerged they have listed the club on eBay with a starting bid of $10million.

"We were appalled," Johnson. "You can imagine how shocked we were to wake up this morning to find out we were on eBay. It's not a second-hand bike we're selling."
