Wolves survived a first half of pressure from home side Tranmere but eventually made the breakthrough with a late goal for a 1-0 win at Prenton Park in the FA Cup. The League One outfit started the brighter and Ian Thomas-Moore was unlucky to see his header cleared off the line by Stephen Ward.
Terry Gornell then missed a near open goal for Tranmere whilst for Wolves Sylvan Ebanks-Blake had his close-range header well saved by Rovers keeper Luke Daniels.
Wolves steadied after the break without looking threatening and with the game heading for a replay, Nenad Milijas played in Jarvis who fired home from just inside the box.
There was still time for the host's to spurn a late opportunity to level as Craig Curran's close range flick was well saved by Wayne Hennessey.
