Sturridge, who arrived at Anfield from Chelsea in 2013, says he will always appreciate the Reds support. He has scored two goals and made two assists in five league appearances for Trabzonspor this term.
He told De Marke Sports: "For example, when I lived in Liverpool, the fans showed me a great love.
"I love Liverpool very much and I can still feel it in my heart."
The England international also discussed the incredible reaction he received from the Trabzonspor supporters who had gathered in their droves to meet their new signing in August.
"It was crazy to be met at the airport," Sturridge added. "They brought me in by car and it was a really crazy welcome.
"My story isn't over yet. My heart wants me to help this club succeed."
