Trabzonspor assistant coach Eddie Newton is keen to return to Chelsea for a new signing.

Fanatik says Newton has recommended Chelsea defender Ethan Ampadu to the Trabzonspor board.

The Wales international is this season on-loan with RB Leipzig and Newton believes he would be a star in Turkey.

Trabzonspor coach Huseyin Cimsir is already convinced and eager to speak with Ampadu directly about joining them in Turkey next season.

For his part, Ampadu will take some convincing given his ambitions with Chelsea, though the presence of Newton could be a factor in Trabzonspor's favour.
