Trabzonspor defender Marc Bartra admits he never wanted to leave Real Betis.

Barta was sold by Betis over the summer for €1.25m.

He said, "I was happy at Betis, I wanted to stay there and continue my career, but football is like that. Now, I'm happy here.

"My idea was to stay. I was doing well at Betis, where we won the Copa del Rey and I had earned the coach's trust. If they asked me about Trabzonspor a few weeks before, I would have said that I was staying in Seville. '

"Then the offer came and they needed to sell players. The project, the plans for the future, the last Turkish Super League championship, we played in Europe... All that makes you change your mind."
