TP Mazembe defender Stoppila Sunzu is on the brink of signing for Reading.

The 23-year-old Zambian, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal, is flying to England to undergo a medical with the Royals.

Sunzu's contract at Mazembe runs until 2015 but Reading have persuaded the DR Congo side to sell.

Mazembe president Moses Katumbi said: "Indeed, Sunzu is heading to Reading for tests after the agreement by TP Mazembe and the Zambia Federation.

"He just sent us a message in which he thanked the club."
