Towering Stoke striker Crouch can still have Premier League impact

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch believes he is still capable of having an impact for the Potters.

The 34-year-old has been limited to sporadic appearances from the bench this season but claims that he is ready to fight his way back into the first team at the Britannia Stadium.

The lanky striker said: "I think there will always be a place for my type of player.

"I might not start as many games as in previous seasons but I know I can still make an impact on the football pitch.

"I still feel the same as I did two or three years ago. It is frustrating as you get old everyone starts saying I can't do what I did three or four years ago.

"But I feel exactly the same and I'm just waiting for that opportunity.

"I have had it all my life wherever I have been. Wherever I have been there has been a time when I have been out of the side.

"I've always managed to find a way back in so of course I will be back. Although it is frustrating at the moment I know I can impact on Premier League games."
