Tottenham's O'Hara thrilled to face hero Scholes

Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara admits it was a thrill to test himself against Manchester United's Paul Scholes.

O'Hara, who spent time on loan with Millwall earlier this season, made his Tottenham debut at Portsmouth on December 15 and has sparkled in every appearance since then.

That includes matches against Arsenal, Manchester United and Slavia Prague. But he said: "The first time I met a hero was when I came to Spurs to train for a week and Glenn Hoddle was manager, he was one of my biggest idols.

"Also it was fantastic to play against Paul Scholes when he came on in the FA Cup match at Old Trafford because he was one of my heroes growing up.

"I always enjoyed watching him play in central midfield and he is a player I always looked up to. I was lucky enough to swap shirts with him after the game."
