Tottenham’s Eric Dier and West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino will miss upcoming fixtures for the England U21 team.
Spurs defender Dier will miss the clash with the Czech Republic while West Brom's Berahino is expected to be sidelined for the meetings with the Czech Republic and Germany.
Dier suffered a black eye in Spurs' 4-3 win over Leicester City on Saturday.
The Football Association (FA) announced on Monday that the 21-year nold Dier will remain with his club for assessment this week.
Dier will hence miss Friday's friendly against Czech in Prague, but he could return for the following fixture against Germany at Middlesbrough three days later.
West Brom's Berahino was also ruled out with a foot problem over the weekend so manager Gareth Southgate has called up Fulham striker Cauley Woodrow as a replacement.
