Tottenham youngster Harry Winks expressed his delight after training with the senior England squad on Monday.
The 19-year-old, who is a member of Spurs' first-team squad, got the opportunity as the Three Lions were training at Hotspur Way ahead of Tuesday's friendly with France at Wembley.
Winks said: "It was brilliant, surreal really. I got a phone call last night from our head of player development John McDermott telling me to come in early, and he didn't give a reason. I came in and found out that I'd be training with the England seniors.
"I gave my family a call to let them know and they were delighted. We were soon out there on the pitches and I loved every minute of it. The fact that there were some Spurs players in the group was certainly helpful in terms of easing into it all.
"For me, the chance to train with top quality, world-class players, who are legends of the Premier League and Champions League, can only inspire me to get to where they are. I'd love to follow in their footsteps one day."
