Tottenham are wrapping up a deal for Valencia striker Roberto Soldado.
The Daily Mail says Soldado is expected to complete his £26million move from Valencia by the end of the week, after Spurs met his release clause.
The arrival of Soldado from Valencia in a club-record deal is a big boost for manager Andre Villas-Boas, who will make the Spain international his No 1 striker. Soldado has been offered a five-year contract by Tottenham, worth £60,000 per week rising to £75,000 a week - a sum that fits comfortably in the club's wage structure.
The transfer sees Tottenham smash their transfer record for the second time in weeks after the £17m capture of Paulinho from Corinthians.
