Tottenham want to discuss a swap deal with Blackburn Rovers for striker Roque Santa Cruz.
The People says Santa Cruz has a £20m sale clause in his contract, but Rovers may struggle to get that much.
Tottenham are keen but want to throw players into a swap deal. French right-back Pascal Chimbonda may be part of the package - he only went back to Spurs in the last window after a brief spell at Sunderland.
