Tottenham have joined the battle for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill.
The Mirror says Redknapp has joined the race to sign Gary Cahill and is prepared to offer Sebastien Bassong or Younes Kaboul as part of a £17million deal.
Redknapp has been tracking Cahill for months and hopes to beat Manchester City and Arsenal for the England defender by offering Bolton manager Owen Coyle the pick of his fringe players.
Coyle would like a replacement for Cahill and the Tottenham boss will give him his pick between Bassong and Kaboul.
Redknapp would also consider including Danny Rose in the deal and the England Under-21 star has caught Coyle's eye.
