Tottenham is willing to be patient in their pursuit of Ross Barkley.
Everton has slapped a £50m price tag on the England midfielder, which has been laughed off by Spurs chief Daniel Levy.
Barkley is out-of-contract at the end of the season and he has indicated he will not re-sign with the club.
Therefore, Spurs are willing to wait right until the end of the deadline to force Everton into letting the England midfielder go for a lower fee.
However, Levy will also take an opportunity to sign a similar player to Barkley, if the opportunity arises.
