Tottenham have rejected an Everton approach for Jake Livermore.
The Daily Mail says Everton's bid to sign Livermore on loan has been rejected because Spurs will not strengthen one of their direct rivals for the Champions League places.
West Bromwich Albion, Reading, QPR and Norwich are also interested in the 23-year-old England midfielder who has been told he can only leave on loan this month because Andre Villas-Boas believes he has a long-term future at White Hart Lane.
