Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly the frontrunners to sign Gent striker Laurent Depoitre.

The Daily Mirror is reporting the Belgian has been the subject of interest for no less than seven Premier League clubs, including Spurs, West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Everton, West Bromwich Albion and Southampton.

It is understood Tottenham are prepared to offer £12million for the 27-year-old, who still has 16 months left on his current deal with Gent.

The Jupiler League club are believed to be ready to cash in on Depoitre this summer, with the Premier League understood to be his preferred destination.

Depoitre has scored 13 goals in all competitions this season.
