The People says Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas's spies have watched the 28-year-old at least four times but have yet to formalise their interest.

Valero signed a four-year deal at West Bromwich Albion in 2008, moving to the West Midlands from Mallorca, but the Baggies were relegated back to the Championship at the end of his first season.
