Tottenham moved into the top four courtesy of a 3-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday.
Spurs were in a festive mood on Boxing Day and dominated the visiting Canaries at White Hart Lane to move within six points of league leaders Leicester City.
Harry Kane opened the scoring with a 26th-minute penalty after he had been brought down by Norwich keeper Declan Rudd before adding a second, and his 11th of the campaign, just before half-time when he rifled home from an angle when receiving a lay-off from Dele Alli.
Substitute Tom Carroll wrapped it up in the 80th minute with a lovely left-footed strike from range for his first Premier League goal to see Mauricio Pochettino's men safely into Champions League places with an eighth win of the season.
Alex Neil's Norwich now find themselves in a precarious situation as they sit 17th on the table, equal on points with Newcastle United who are at the top of the bottom three.
