Tottenham U23 whiz Alfie Devine enjoyed a swipe at former club Liverpool after victory on Saturday.
Devine scored twice against Liverpool U23. He was released by the Reds at the age of 11 and later joined Wigan's youth set-up.
After impressing for the Latics, the 17-year-old midfielder was snapped up by Spurs last summer for £300,000 as Wigan went into administration.
Reacting to his performance on social media, the Warrington-born midfielder poked fun at the Reds' decision to release him as a youngster.
"It always comes back to haunt them... two goals," he wrote.
Devine has now scored three goals in four Premier League 2 appearances so far this season.
