Tottenham turn to Benfica striker Haris Seferovic

Tottenham have expressed interest in Benfica striker Haris Seferovic.

Record says Spurs could look to take Seferovic, 28, on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

The 66-cap international has managed more than ten goals just once in his career, having represented teams in Italy, Spain, Germany and Switzerland before arriving in Portugal.

He had by far his best-ever season in 2018-19, however, when he netted 23 times in 29 league matches as his side romped to the title.

But he was more goal-shy last time out, notching five in 30.

Benfica are among Europe's biggest spending clubs this summer, signing attackers Darwin Nunez, Luca Waldschmidt and Everton Soares - with the former becoming their most-expensive ever recruit.

And while Seferovic started their 2-1 Champions League defeat to PAOK, he was relegated to the bench for their league opener against Famalicao.
