Tottenham top-four record not good enough - Sherwood

Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood is adamant that his side's performances against top-four teams this season has been nowhere near good enough.

Spurs lost 4-0 to Liverpool on Sunday which took their record to one draw and seven losses against the top quarter this term, scoring just two goals.

After the match, Sherwood was critical of Tottenham's results in big games and urged them to make amends by winning their remaining fixtures this campaign.

"It is not good, obviously we have to put it right we have six games left - not against top-four teams, but we have to try and win those," he told Sky Sports.

"But we have to look at it - we don't seem to have problem with teams outside, perhaps it is a belief thing but a lot of these teams are better than us and today Liverpool were better than us."
