Tottenham are being linked with a late transfer window move for Newcastle United's Ayoze Perez.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Spurs are pondering a £15million bid for the 22-year-old Spanish striker who impressed in Newcastle's dismal season last.

Tottenham are desperate to sign a new striker to ease the burden on Harry Kane and although they are keen on Perez, are yet to make contact with the Magpies regarding the former Tenerife forward, who arrived at St James' Park last summer for £1m.

Perez, who has featured in two of the four Premier League fixtures so far this season, has scored seven goals in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Toon.
