Tottenham to keep close eye on Davies following Dortmund concussion

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says the club will continue to monitor Ben Davies over the coming days, after the defender appeared to suffer a concussion in Spurs' Europa League Round of 16 loss to Borussia Dotmund on Thursday.

Davies collided with Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris early in the contest, forcing him to be substituted.

Pochettino said the decision to remove Davies from the contest, which Spurs lost 2-1 (5-1 on aggregate), was precautionary.

"Ben is OK," Pochettino said.

"We need to assess him in the next few days. He got a knock in the face, came onto the pitch and felt dizzy and we took him off for precaution."
