Tottenham are threatening Arsenal plans for Manchester City attacker Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal were thought to be the most likely destination, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta - who worked with the 25-year-old when he was assistant at City - keen on reunion.
But the Telegraph says their fierce north London rivals Tottenham have joined the race to sign him after pipping them to fourth spot and Champions League football.
His agent Marcelo Pettinati says his client is aware of Spurs' interest, with five other clubs also keen on his signature.
Italian manager Antonio Conte reportedly wants to add to his squad ahead of playing in Europe's top competition next season, with a centre-back and midfielder also on his shopping list.
He could play as a central striker alongside Harry Kane, as backup to the England captain, and also as a wide forward.
