Tottenham target Maxi Rodriguez has stated his intention to remain with Atletico Madrid.

The 28-year old Argentine international says he is happy to return to pre-season training and do whatever his current club asks of him.

"We will have to see how everything goes," he told Marca.

"I still have a year with Atleti but you have to see what happens.

"I am very, very happy there. When I arrive for pre-season I will do what the club wants me to.

"I do not care about the rumours regarding my possible exit. I am confident in my position and I am going to play."
