Ayoze Perez has made it clear that he has no intentions of quitting Newcastle United anytime soon.
The 22-year-old Spanish striker remains a target for Tottenham but despite the rumours linking him with a possible January move to London, he insists he is content at St James' Park despite the current situation of the north east club.
"I am happy here," said Perez who joined the Magpies from Tenerife in the summer of 2014.
"I am playing and I am getting better. I cannot ask for anything else because I am happy here."
Perez has been valued at £15million and could become the subject of a winter bid by Spurs but these comments suggest he is fairly keen to stay and fight for Newcastle.
