Tottenham have joined the battle for Nice striker Alassane Plea.

Plea is attracting major Premier League interest, with Bournemouth and West Ham having been linked.

However, Foot Mercato says Spurs are now keen, viewing Plea as an alternative to Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial.

Indeed, it's suggested Spurs have already tabled an opening offer of €25m for Plea.

The 25-year-old is a late developer after leaving Lyon as a kid but he is already matching top marksmen, such as Edinson Cavani in Ligue 1.
