Aston Villa's bid to lure Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor to Villa Park appears to have hit a snag.

The Mirror is reporting Adebayor has refused to relocate from his London home to Villa's base in the West Midlands, putting the move in jeopardy.

The Togolese international appeared destined to reunite with former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood at Villa after passing a medical at the club last week and spending Monday and Tuesday at Villa's training grounds at Bodymoor Heath.

There is still hope both parties can reach a compromise however, with Adebayor now on the outer at Tottenham.
