Tottenham star Son apologises to Mourinho after shock dismissal

Tottenham star Heung-Min Son apologized to former boss Jose Mourinho after the latter's sacking.

Mourinho was handed his marching orders at Spurs on Monday, with chairman Daniel Levy pulling the plug on the Portuguese's tenure at the club.

Son, who was a key part of Mourinho's team for the past year and a half, sent his ex-coach a classy message on social media.

Along with a picture of the two sharing a post-match embrace, Son wrote on Instagram: "I have no words to describe how I'm feeling.

"It's been a pleasure to work with you.

"I'm sorry things didn't work out and truly grateful for the time we've had together.

"Good luck and all the best for the future."
