Mauricio Pochettino believes the Tottenham squad is in good shape following their FA Cup third-round draw with Leicester City.
Potation made seven changes to his Spurs lineup for the eventual 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane and the performances of some of his fringe players suggests to the Argentine that everybody is prepared to work hard for a place in his starting XI.
"It is tough for us and tough for [Leicester]," he said.
"We need to be strong in our mind. We have a strong squad. Today showed that those not playing in the first team can fight for a place.
"It's complicated. It's tough to play Premier League, Europa League and cups. But it's for that we have a very strong squad and we made seven changes.
"We need to keep fit all the players, and motivated. It's a good thing to compete and that the squad believes everyone can compete for a consistent place in the team."
Spurs, who sit fourth in the Premier League, scored first through Christian Eriksen in the eighth minute before Marcin Wasliewski and Shinji Okazaki had Leicester in front by early in the second half.
Harry Kane stepped up to fire home a penalty in the 89th minute, after Nathan Dyer has been adjudged to have handled the ball in the area, to set up a third round replay at King Power Stadium.
