Tottenham seek talks with sacked Bayern Munich coach Nagelsmann

Tottenham are seeking talks with Julian Nagelsmann after his sacking by Bayern Munich.

The Daily Mail says in a previous attempt by Spurs to discuss the manager's position with the German coach, they were informed that he has a soft spot for the north London club - raising hope that he may consider joining.

Bayern sacked Nagelsmann on Friday evening and replaced him with former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, who had been on Tottenham's list of possible successors to Conte.

Nagelsmann - who received the news while away on a skiing holiday - was surprised as Bayern are still in the title race and the Champions League. However, the Bundesliga giants are sitting second in the table - behind Borussia Dortmund.

Therefore, the club confirmed his dismissal with nine games of the season remaining, with CEO Oliver Kahn admitting they were forced to act after watching "big fluctuations in our performances".

But the fresh availability of Nagelsmann has put Tottenham chiefs on red-alert as they continue to plan for life without Conte.
