Tottenham scouts have been impressed by Sporting Lisbon fullback Joao Pereira.

The Daily Mail says Tottenham are lining up a January move for Sporting Lisbon ace Pereira, but look set to face competition from Barcelona for his signature.

Pereira has impressed Spurs scouts with his ability to play in either defence or midfield.

European champions Barca have also expressed an interest in the Portugal international and would be favourites to land the 27-year-old for around £8m.
