Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has given up in his pursuit of Aston Villa winger Ashley Young.
The Spurs boss has been keen on Young for most of the off season but has now conceded defeat in his attempt to lure the FA's Young Player of the Year to White Hart Lane.
"Everybody would like to have him but I don't think there is a chance we would get him," said Redknapp.
"He's a fantastic player and Aston Villa do not want to sell him, I don't think he's available."
