Tottenham's Pochettino concedes Champions League spot now difficult

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino feels his side's chances of finishing in the top four have been dealt a blow.

In the wake of the away defeat at Manchester United, Pochettino has conceded that it will now be very difficult for his club to grab the much coveted fourth position on the Premier League table.

The Spurs boss was not happy with how his side performed as they went down 3-0 at Old Trafford, the result which opened up a six-point gap between both of the clubs.

Man Utd punished Spurs' horrible defensive display with goals from Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney within the opening 34 minutes of the game.

Pochettino told Sky Sports: "It will be difficult [to finish fourth] because we are fighting with big sides.

"It was a very bad day for us. I think that we all agree together in the changing room that our performance was poor.

"Our performance was poor, and I think we need to analyse why. We are disappointed because we never show our quality, our way and our philosophy."
