Moussa Sissoko's Newcastle exit is on hold with Tottenham unlikely to meet Newcastle's £30m valuation, Sky Sports understand.

The Magpies will accept five instalments of £6m to allow the 27 year old France international to complete a move to White Hart Lane.

But it is understood Spurs are unlikely to pay such a high price, regardless of the proposed payment stages, and have now cooled their interest in the player.
