Niko Kranjcar says the Croatian influence at Tottenham can drive them into the top four.

Kranjcar, 25, believes the Croatian mentality will spur on the north Londoners, who entertain Wigan at White Hart Lane today.

He revealed: "It's just in the genes. A lot of Croatians are world and Olympic champions.

"The money we sportsmen get in Croatia is far less than here. It's the joy of the game and the excitement it brings.

"What is special about Croatian players is their love for the game and passion for football. We have a big work ethic - we love to train."
