Tottenham plan new move for Leicester boss Rodgers

Tottenham will make a new move for Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers.

The Sun says Rodgers is still Daniel Levy's first choice to replace Jose Mourinho but the Spurs chairman feared he would not be able to tempt the Northern Irishman if Leicester secured Champions League football.

But Levy is reportedly now desperate for Spurs to shatter the Foxes' top four bid when the two teams play each other at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Leicester missed out Champions League qualification on the final day of last season and risk suffering the same fate for a consecutive campaign.

Rodgers, who led Leicester to their first FA Cup last weekend, has four years left to run on his contract.

The 48-year-old pledged his commitment to the Foxes when he was first linked with the Spurs job in April.
