Former England boss Sam Allardyce believes that Tottenham duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli can lead the Three Lions to World Cup glory in 2018.

Gareth Southgate's men can book their spot in the next year's World Cup in Russia by defeating Slovenia at Wembley Stadium on Thursday night.

"Dele Alli and Harry Kane can win England the World Cup, absolutely," Allardyce told talkSPORT.

"I think that combination is one of the best in the Premier League at this moment in time.

"They can turn a game in a split second and that's what you need with England at the top level.

"You got two players who are capable of doing that.

"They play together at Tottenham and with them playing together for England, it could be just a great combination for the England team, hopefully, in Russia."
