Tottenham are on the brink of securing Jan Vertonghen to a new deal.
Vertonghen is poised to agree a new contract with the club, says The Sun.
The 31-year-old's current deal expires at the end of the season, but a one-year extension will be offered.
Since joining from Ajax back in the summer of 2012, Vertonghen has been one of the first names on the team-sheet.
His current terms were agreed in December 2016.
Speaking about his future, the Belgian centre-half said: "My contract is expiring at the end of the season, but Tottenham have an option to extend it with one year.
"I think they will take up the option. We'll see what happens."
