Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp has suffered a gruesome injury in training.

Football.London says Skipp was the victim of an "accidental stud impact" which left him requiring stitches.

The training ground setback left a number of his Spurs team-mates shaken up.

Many had to look away from the incident due to the unpleasant nature of the graphic nature of the injury

It is a knock for Antonio Conte's preparations, with just five days until they kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Southampton.

Skipp missed the final four months of the campaign due to a pelvic problem.
