Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele says he's a much better player for last season's struggles.
Ndombele appeared set to be bombed out of Spurs after failing to win over Jose Mourinho last season. But this term he's turned things around to become a first-choice for the Spurs manager.
He told Football.London: "I am now able to look back and see which aspects of my contribution I had to work on and what's great now is that everything is going in the right direction for the team, for the club and for everyone and it's really satisfying.
"Without a doubt, it made me mentally stronger. What happened last season made me better as an athlete because I didn't play a lot. I hurt myself a lot, which I'm not used to.
"In times like this, you can only get stronger."
