Tottenham midfielder Mason: No reason England cannot win Euro2016

Ryan Mason believes England is capable of achieving glory at Euro2016 this summer.

The Tottenham midfielder, who will watch five of his club mates represent the country in France, suggests Roy Hodgson has the quality at his disposal to produce a winning result in the UEFA tournament.

"There's no limit on what they can achieve," Mason told Sky Sports.

"They've got some very positive results in recent friendlies against top nations. There's no reason they can't win it.

"They've got to go out there and play with belief and not fear anyone and focus on themselves and you never know what can happen.

"Getting to a semi [final] or the quarters would be a great achievement but we are a massive nation with the ability and the players to go on and win it, and hopefully we can do that. I'm sure they're confident and I'm optimistic."

Mason added: "They're still a young group of players but at the same time we've got a few experienced heads in there and that's very important.

"I think they'll do well and if they play with no fear they'll do the nation proud."

Euro2016 kicks off on Friday night with hosts France taking on Romania in Paris before England meet Russia in Marseille on Saturday in their Group B opener.
